WHAT WE DID:
Made a 5,000-person user conference feel intimate by encouraging and quantifying personal interactions, racking up XXXX thousand exchanges of contact information. Attendees pushed out more than XXX thousand tweets over two days.

HOW WE DID IT:
Leveraging PixMob technology, (Bluetooth, LED wristbands that connect to a back-end database) we created a conference-long game that rewarded social interactions, allowing contact info to be exchanged with the bump of a wrist, and encouraging attendance at key areas and events.

The game was light on competition, with only a few token prizes. The bigger incentives were to contribute to a shared community goal to unlock a large contribution for a tech diversity scholarship, and to boost your personal Docker rank, becoming more expert in the software.

The conference all hit just the right notes with a passionate, tight-knit user community that is highly resistant to anything that smells like marketing. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and despite doubling in size, the conference somehow felt more intimate than ever.
